Maviga's principal activity is the origination, processing and supply of dried edible pulses (peas, beans, lentils and chickpeas) and other special crops including maize, popcorn, groundnuts, sesame, canary, niger, pumpkin and sunflower seeds. With offices, processing capacity and expertise in all the major areas of production, Maviga is able to supply dependable quality, service and information to customers throughout the world.

At the grower level, Maviga enters into pre-production agreements, contracting with farmers the pulse variety and acreage prior to planting. Maviga's local field personnel then oversee the production cycle from seed to silo. Maviga also originates raw material on the open market; off the farm after harvest as well as ready processed graded and bagged.

Custom processing is undertaken at a number of carefully selected facilities. Manual, mechanical and electronic processes are used to sort, size and clean the pulses to the highest standards.

Maviga sells and ships bagged processed pulses to importers, wholesalers, packers and foodstuff manufacturers in over 80 countries around the world. Maviga also works with government agencies and non-governmental organisations to procure and deliver the lowest cost supplies to peoples in need.
